Real bikes are air cooled was created by oldcoldankles
You wish your bike was air cooled when:

You are out on a 500 mile club ride with 62 other riders
Miles from nowhere in Mount Rainier National Park
Your bike decides to blow a rad hose and overheats in 62° weather
Anti freeze is $29/gallon at the nearest gas station 30 miles away
It takes over an hour to re&re the tupperware to get at the leak

Could be worse. Could be Death Valley and 115 in the shade of which there ain't any. Could be Mt. St. Helens Overlook on the day she blew. Could be on the NYC throughway right next to a burnt out derelict car. Could be in Tornado Alley and them clouds ain't happy happy joy joy clouds. Could be anywhere south of the Mason Dixie line and that damn glow in the dark peace sign neck tatoo won't quit flashing. Could be in front of Locozuna's house at 3am where you were just reving the bejesus out of your straight piped rat bike and she just died.

Only third hand experience. I can tell you it felt just great to roll up on my 28 year old KZ, the oldest bike in the ride, and offer moral support

You guys know the last days of old technology are always better the beginning of a new technology...

Our KZ base platform (and other air head bikes) are pretty much the pinnacle of air cooled technology.

Not saying liquid cooling is necessarily new, but you get my point... Less parts IMO always will hold an advantage.

Water cooling certainly added longevity to bikes and doesn't seem to be too adverse to some's handling. Yes it did add to complexity but so did overhead cams. Maybe we should have stuck with 2 strokes. Here is a good un...
