Land between the Lakes Ride (LBL)

I went for a ride with some friends yesterday. I went to school with one of them and didn't reconize him.

We both had changed a little since 1969.:laugh:

All cruiser bikes. Of course the memory of when kawasaki built these bikes came up and two if the three use to ride these KZ's.

If you are ever down this way there is nice riding. Now is the perfect time to visit the lakes area as all the kids are in school.

The area near the bridge was a airport when i was a kid and i loved to watch the planes take off in the water.

Nice pics Roy! So where is this, in Kentucky? It seems pretty flat to be Kentucky.

I live in West kentucky. Flat compared to the Eastern part.

That bridge goes over the Tennessee river. That is Kentucky lake. The land between the lakes is between Ky. Lake and Lake barkley,which would be the Cumberland River. They both empy into the Ohio river which is 38 miles North of my house. It emptys into the Mississippi River at Cairo,Il.
(pronounced karo) which is 50 miles North West.

A good area for outdoor activity.

The guy with a chrome dome on use to build old Honda choppers.
I found this picture of a chopper he built. He had just moved into the area and i sold him this Amen frame for cheap. Notice the front fender.
His health is bad and he had to quit working on bikes.His daughter rides a chop. Roy
