We made it back safe late this afternoon. What can you say about Craig... The man has a heart bigger than himself. Did I mention that Craig is kinda on the tall side? He was very gracious and it was like I met an old friend that I hadn't seen for a while. Craig met us down about a block from Cannery Row, which we rode through by the way, then a slow loop around the prettiest beacfront community... These folks have it rough looking out their front windows each day.
I feel bad that we ate and ran, and hope that we can make it up to you Craig. Craig is blessed by living in one of the most scenic locations I have ever seen. My camera doesn't come close to capturing the colors, the blues of the ocean, phosphorescent green where the waves break on the rocks, and pinks and purples of the surrounding flowers is breathtaking. Oh, the bikes looked darn good too.

Awesome pics and it sounds like you guys had a cool ride. It's made more special by the fact that you got to share the experience with your son. Those are the kind of memories that stay with you forever. I'm jelous, you couldn't ask for better scenery.

Amy and i watched the sun all afternoon while building our garden some...when it seemed we could wait no longer before missing the sunset...we packed some sandwiches and did the 5 miles at speed....got some good kawi shots as the sun did it's magic....

got an old canon and was messing with it...not these pics....but am gonna try it soon...older cameras while slow and funky..have a special quality to some shots...this is my cannon L100...it can be set to change the hues or predict the sunstes or sand ect...

just messin with the sun...gonna be some decent kawi shots when i do the restore paint and throw the parts i got on....place was a ghost town...guess all the marathon runners boogied after to make monday workdays....the economy...makes pussy's outta the previous take time off folks...me included...

there is beautiful wood everywhere on the central coasts beaches...some a guy could aquire by asking..most is on state beaches and i bet it's protected...still ..when i come upon huge water worked pieces like this 18'x 15" redwood log...you can't help but to imagine the furniture or garden benches....deck timbers ect.....when we get our place ..there will be whole rooms made from this stuff....

some is 3 feet long some 30...some is 8 inches around...some is bigger around than a car.....coves just packed like lincoln logs after the winter storms....

talked to yianni friday..he's flying in for gp week..talked to larry..aka saxonkz...aka tip toucher..he's in too...wants to ride ..chicago is a long ride...hell i ride to the beach i'm tired after:woohoo:
