Here's hoping for you a full and fast recovery. :cheer:

Wonder why all motorcycle kick stands aren't designed with the rubber safety extension as fitted by Honda.

Well my friend that picked up the bike is coming over this weekend to unload it. He said the bike rolled fine and there wasnt even a dent in the tank! ill investigate the kickstand much better when I get the bike.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys.
I can check off highsiding and major broken bones from my list of "crappy things Ive heard about but never want to experience"

Ok, came back from my doc for a follow up, did more xrays and my clavicle is too unstable. Going to have surgery next wed. Wish me luck!

Get a second opinion. Orthos always want to cut you and put nuts and bolts in. Make certain for yourself. Take charge and investigate. If needed then proceed. Always check your options.

Thanks for the heads up, and yes I would give this advice to others too but, I work in the OR as a surgical assistant. Ive worked with this doctor for almost 10 years now. He is probably one of the best sports medicine/shoulder guys on the east coast. We discussed the first and follow up xrays and it will not heal otherwise.

Got the bike back, looks great considering! So far the only damage is bent handlebars, bashed speedo gauge, broke levers, bent headlight bucket, points and alt cover scraped to hell. I cant tell but the forks may be bent or tweaked a bit.

Either way I got the short straw :S

plans are to go ahead and save for a modern fork swap w big brakes B)
