I will probably ride Saturday but it won't be anywhere near Chi Town.

Just going to putt around out in the sticks West of I-55

That's where the riding is. The plan is to start around Sugar Grove and head points West.

So far looks like a tentative number of guys interested. Mad Duck, Steve, Me, perhaps Paul, and another guy plus whoever else wants to go. Could be a really fun group ride. Just putting it out there cause since I have been on this forum I haven't met any of the local guys to ride besides the MAD DUCK. I mean, I hear them say they WANT to ride but have yet to ride with any of you guys. Seeing as how this group is finally planning to do things I am thinking this forum is finally getting the idea.

I'm here to tell ya, bluej58 rides! I plan to do a ride up to chicago area just to make up for the failure on my part during the relay. I owe him that!

Hey, why does this have to be in the middle of winter? How about a get together during the summer. I remember many great rides on Sunday mornings down to the Highland park breakfast spot. How about meating up some Sunday morning at the half moon or where ever it is now?

This week end is a fluke , I haven't heard from Rainman and personally don't mind if the relay flag rests until March like last year .

saxjonz needs time to get his other bike ready and maybe Les will be up for a trip around then.

Any given Sunday you will find me riding unless it's storming out. I have several rides in the works this summer. The ride that is being planned here I will be there with Sean Barney. We gonna be a bunch of riding fools. I have four bikes and fully intend to wear them out.
I want/will to ride to California, I am going to do the Blue Ridge Parkway all the way to NYC and back, an iron butt around Lake Superior possibly, and if I can get the time off of work to go down in May to Suches, Ga. That is just for starters.
Any of you guys who wanna get some riding in just know that I am the minute man. No, not a two stroke bloke, not a two pump chump but a guy that you can call at any time and I will be ready in a minute to ride. I think Trianglelaguna will vouch for that sentiment.
I want to get to know you guys and most of all I have a riding addiction and seeing as how I was in Brazil with wife's family and didn't ride much I will be on it with a vengeance.

Well as it stands I have three guys plus bluejay and myself in. Looking nice at the moment. If it is this nice tomorrow I think 7a I will ride out.

Two guys from the board are in that I just talked to. Bluej58 and Forrest aka the mad duck.
Two other guys Steve and a friend of his. If any of you guys are in the area and just want to meet up for lunch there is a biker bar that used to be a bank somewhere south of sugar grove by the fox river. I could post as soon as I find out the name.
Looks like it will cool down around 12 to the 40's by 3. Last chance for a ride this season.

How did the ride go? It was wet up here most of the morning but now the suns out and temps are dropping.

Just got back, from a very spirited ride.
Hooked up with mad duck , saxjonz and his buddy Steve in Sugar grove and we took the back roads to Staved Rock state park for lunch.
Then I showed them a couple of my back roads.

The trip started out at around 48 deg. now it's at 36 deg.

saxjonz has maybe another hour on the road, that guy put on some miles today compared to my wimpy 115
At least I pushed a tank of fresh gas through her.
