So this idea popped into my head to get some pics of my bike in "period correct" settings. A couple of spots came to mind, and I took a ride tonight to see if I liked it. There is a funky old bar/restaurant in Pittsburgh, and I got a couple pics there(cell phone). Tomorrow I will fool around on Photoshop to see if I like the results. The two other bars I thought would be cool had a total shit show of drunks around, so I skipped them.

Thoughts? ??

Mine:
04 Honda rebel 250(wifes)
04 GSXR 750(bolt on galore)
98 CBR 600F3(filter, pipe, adjustable cam sprokets, dyno tune)
76 KZ900A (LTD gauge pods, crash bars, LTD(style)pipes, dyna coils and ignition, headwork and mild port cleanup by cavanaugh racing, K&N filter pods, heck I dunno.

I like the idea. I hope you complete it and post it here.

One suggestion, go to the location during daylight. Probably fewer drunks.

BTW, I love the picture you already posted, very interesting... artistic even.

Very nice setting, this is what these bikes were designed for. Much better than seeing one trailered to a bike show with a folding deck chair and flask of tea.

Maybe get yourself some ancient pop stud crash helmet, a garish nylon sports jacket and flared trousers with shoes to complete the look. Mullet haircut and moustache plus aviator shades would complete the 70's look.

I bet the models posing for the Kawasaki publicity pics back in the day thought they looked so cool , never mind I expect future generations will be laughing at us trying to look cool on our bikes.

Ol'school shots? ...did you shoot with B&W film? :P Seriously, your cellie wasn't around when these bikes were built. If you want to REALLY a period shot, find someone who shoots film and ask them to load a roll of B&W... They're still out there! B)

I do like your shot, but night shots are really best when shot on a tripod... stopped down and long exposure.
