Made my way to the 2016 Leesburg Bikefest yesterday. Wondering if anybody else went. Met up with 3 other riders (one hour to the meetup spot). Then and about an hour and a half from the meetup to Leesburg. Beautiful ride up with temps in the 70's. Ev en though I enjoyed the ride, once there it was just too crowed. Seems to be at least a 1/3 more people this year than last. It was elbow to elbow the whole time we were there. And it got pretty hot. We slipped into a venue called The Palace for a some A/C and a beer. Been doing so for the last 5 years and was always a nice refuge from the heat and crowds. They always have someone playing the blues to listen to. This year however, there was twice the number of people inside and the A/C wasn't keeping up. Sorry, no pictures this year and this will probably be the last. Must be getting old. And speaking of old, once I got home (around 4:30 PM), I felt beat. I guess between riding in wind at good clip without a fairing and walking in the heat (only two beers for the day), my body was spent. Fell asleep at 5:30 PM and didn't wake up until 7:00 AM the next day.

Oh, and put on 194 miles for the day. Left for the meetup point at 9:00 AM and made it home at 4:30. The KZ ran great. Had that nice Bee buzzing sound when on the country roads. Only issue I had was trying to start it once I was leaving. The battery didn't seem to be able to turn it over so I kickstarted it. Normally I never notice since I use a battery tender. Weak charging system I guess. Will have to put that on my do list.

Thanks Mcdroid. Yeah, Mcdroid. Maybe if I would have gone some of the more events, I would have found it more enjoyable. I checked out the stunt riders, etc. Missed the Miss Rathole contest. Too crowded to get in. This might have been interesting see (Tattoo Expo). Solely from an anthropological point of view.

Yes, I agree a bit scary. Poor misguided girls. If only they could have used better judgement and rendered less images of skulls and dragons, and more images of peace and love instead, LOL.
