So I learned a lot riding this trip....lots of time to think.

1. I will ALWAYS have a C14 in my stable!
2. This country's landscape is varying and beautiful.
3. You do truly meet the nicest people on a Kawasaki.
4. God invented cruise control for a reason.
5. A bike that does 1759 miles across 5 states kills ALOT of bugs....

6. A Sena SMH10R will last approximately 11 hours playing music constantly.
7. Fireworks stands/stores are f'n popular EVERYWHERE....
8. Coors Batch 19 is NOT sold everywhere.....
9. There is no better way to travel the country than by bike.
10. 95+ Temps even in vented gear gets a bit warm.....
11. Being away from loved ones DO make the heart grow fonder.
12. When on the plains in cattle country, you do feel kinda like a cowboy....yippy-ki-a muther......

That is all for now....

When you are doing 855+ miles in 14.5 hours, not a lot of time for pics! Do want to go back to Ohmaha to the Union Pacific Museum.

I wished I had my extra RAM arm since I did take my action camera along, but alias that was missing.

Good job on the ride. I did the 1500+ miles in less than 24hrs two times, then did the 3000 miles in less than 48hrs to get my 3 official IBA certificates, but was on a 2008 Honda Goldwing, so a little easier in my case. Although my butt was not 100% happy, for me the hardest part for pain was my neck. Gets real stiff and painful to move my head after hours on the road, and also my back got tired. I have no backrest or highway pegs or any of that stuff which may help. The worst thing that happened to me thought was numb hands. Even with cruise control and the smooth GL1800 engine both my hands in the palms became numb and it took close to 3 months before they were 100% the way they were before the rides. I rode a lot of 90s and higher and that part doesn't bother me.
I didn't take any pictures either. I enjoy the long rides and reading of others that enjoy them. Here is the 3000 mile ride. Not a 100% exciting ride, but I'll fondly remember it.

I actually had no pain or discomfort that was bike/ride derived. I have somehow hurt my RH shoulder a month or so prior and it still aches. That was my only discomfort. Love my Corbin....lol

I once rode from 30 miles south of Indianapolis to Cheyenne in one day, a little over 1,100 miles. :woohoo:

Gotta say, when I arrived I was happy to take a break!

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.
