does it have stock exhuast or a header?if it has a header it should have a bolt in the end holding it in after you take the bolt out try putting something in the end of the baffle and work it side to side untill it loosens itself enough to pull it out.if its stock exhuast it might be welded in grind off the welds and work it side to side till it comes out.good luck, happy wrenching!

as far as i know its stock and there is a little screw in the bottom of the baffle.looks like hex through the rust.

if thats what you mean by bolt ill have to drill it out.

i need the baffles out because on each pipe theres a hole on the inside and the baffles are so clogged its pushing more out from the whole then tha back and i dont want the holes to get bigger.

temp fix till i get my new 2 into 1

thanks for the info

The 1974-1975 model KZ400 mufflers had replaceable baffle tubes, the 1976-1977 D models did not. And even if you remove the 6/16mm bolt at the rear of the muffler, you most likely won't get the baffle out.

And there should be a hole on the underside of each muffler, at the rear:

actually its not all that loud.
theres fiberglass up in there.
the pieces im trying to get out are just a tube with hole in it for sound redirection.
but it did get a little "throatier"
