Starter dampers

Can anyone tell me the difference between damper 92075-193 and 92075-1130 both are 7.3mm thick I seem to remember it may have to do with the ID of that damper. I need 902075-1130 which is the middle damper. I have two of the 8.3 dampers but I would like to get the proper one. Yes I could try to sand the edges down a bit but trying to avoid it. Part 920785-193 is a 7.,3mm damper but is there a difference in the ID. 92075-1130 has a 34mm id. If anyone can measure the other let me know.

damper 92075-193 is for the Z1 engine and 92075-1130 for the Z1000J/GPZ 1100 engine.

Is this because the 1980 onwards with the later generator has a larger diameter crank output shaft ?

The dampers for the later engines with dished rotors don't fit as they have a larger hole in the center .
You need one from an earlier pre MK2 engine with small rotor.
It's an easy job to reduce the width by lapping them on a flat surface with some wet and dry..

Per Service Bulletin 74 Z-24:.
#92075-193 superseded #92075-187

#92075-187 I.D. is 31mm
#92075-193 I.D. is 36mm
Both are listed as 7.3mm thick.

The changes were made concurrent with dyno rotor, copper shim washer and starter gear mods.

Close enough.  There's a little slop in the fit anyway.  They don't have to be precise.

After reviewing all the available info I decided to use one of the used 8.3 units I have on hand since it look's like the 7.3 damper will be hard to find. It was a bit squished in the first place and was close to the thickness I needed. After a slight rub on emery it fit nice and keeps the gear from rocking and has minimal pressure against the outer wear ring which is exactly what is needed. 10 months ago I was able to find all of the three dampers for another 73 Z1 I was working on but now no luck. At least I have several new 8.3 and one 6.3 dampers for future projects. The best time to fit these dampers is when you have the cases split. I use the small one first and see how much play I need to take up. It's hard to measure that play with the cases together and you're kinda just guessing. Im aware of those changes on the early z1's. The engine I inherited with the purchase of a 74 Z1 is unknown but I think its from a KZ900.
