Just a quickie here: ducatiblog.net/ducati-news/37/161-troy-bayliss-will-race-again

This should make things a little more interesting. Actually, this year has been better than the past two, but adding a former champ back into the mix can't hurt.

A new Fl track is being built in Austin. The "Circuit of the Americas" track -should- be done in 2012. I can’t say that WSBK will ever be there, but with a track like that it sure will be an attractive place to have a race! It has to be better than the "Texas World Speedway", which is falling apart, and its bound attract more 2 wheelers like the Lowe's track did/has. Have you heard of the CMRA?

well, just read the original source in italian motosprint mag (i live in milan) and all troy says is that HE wants to return, not that he IS returning

great guy, I had the chance to meet him in person, he's very down to earth, shame he never rode a kawi.. :)

that said, very few champs had the luxury of quiting as champions, would leave it as is if i was him.

just look at shumacher's shameful comeback

I agree, as it’s hard to watch a champ fall from grace. But, on the other hand...I can’t say as I blame him. If I was in his position I'd race until I was old, grey, and broken.

If you watch Troy's Story, he actually started road racing on a Kawasaki. He bought himself a ZXR 750 and was privateering for a while in Australia.

As for Shumacher, I'm not convinced that they have the right car yet. I wonder what he could do in the Red Bull.

I tried clicking the link to Motosprint, but sadly I cannot read Italian.

right! totally forgot about that. He bought a brand new road zxr when he was 18 and was pretty soon winning on it, some talent.
