So far so fast  (Video link)

For those who have not seen this documentary or are unfamiliar with the early days of the Z1 or the legendary driver Yvon Duhamel of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Yvon Duhamel (October 17, 1939 – August 17, 2021) was a French Canadian professional motorcycle and snowmobile racer. A six-time winner of the White Trophy, the highest award in Canadian motorcycle racing, he was one of the most accomplished motorcycle racers in Canadian motorsports history. His motorcycle racing career spanned the transition from the 60 horsepower four-stroke motorcycles of the 1960s, to the 100 horsepower two-stroke motorcycles of the 1970s. Duhamel was a versatile rider competing in numerous motorcycle racing disciplines including; trials, motocross, ice racing, drag racing, flat track racing and most prominently in road racing as a member of the Kawasaki factory racing team.  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvon_Duhamel

Yvon is Miguel Duhamel father.
Quebec-born Miguel Duhamel is the third-winningest rider in AMA Superbike history (32 wins) and a five-time DAYTONA 200 winner (1991, ’96, ’99, 2003, 2005). As of 2021, he’s tied with fellow nominee Scott Russell for all-time DAYTONA 200 triumphs. Throughout his career, Duhamel won the 1995 AMA Superbike championship, five AMA Supersport titles, two Formula Xtreme crowns and the 1991 Bol d’Or 24 hour. In all, he scored 86 AMA wins, a record 40 in the Supersport category. He won his first Superbike race in 1990, a victory that helped propel him to AMA Superbike Rookie of the Year honors. He took his first DAYTONA 200 the following season. A horrific 1998 accident looked to end his career, but he used a cane to approach his bike at the 1999 DAYTONA 200. “I was thinking that I just wanted to get some points to start the season,” Duhamel remembers. “But I wound up winning both races — the 200 and the Supersport.” He was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 2016.

Hi Scirocco,

I had the link on top but maybe not noticable. It's the same you tube video.

Thanks to add the link too !You should show me how to add the preview   (ok found it !)

I had the chance to ride a snowmobile beside him and Gilles Villeneuve in a parking lot before they race. I saw many Yvon race on motocross and probably Migue first race on a mini bike.

Miguel and his brother Mario were seen often in local track. I was i Daytona 200 when Miguel qualify first on qualification and the race.

There iare many tribute after he die in 2021:
Here one by few other racers from that period.
They called him the Super Frog, Born on October 17, 1939 – August 17, 2021 and was # 17.  RIP Yvon
