80 KZ 1000-B4 LTD Frame Ground was created by Jasongpz
I've obtained a 1980 KZ 1000-B4 LTD with the wiring harness in the box.  I've got 95% of the wires identified, labeled, and hooked up.  All I need now is to identify where the negative battery cable is grounded to the frame.  Can anyone help?  Pictures would be great.

The large earth strap from the battery negative earth's to the engine not the frame.
Normally there's a specific bolt hole for it above where the kick-start is (if your bike had one, not 100% re your model)

There is a M6 screw hole next to the rear upper engine mount on the RH side next to the kick-start.

As Warren says, the ground strap from the battery negative is bolted onto the side of the engine, in behind the kick starter.  The hole takes a 6M by 14mm hex bolt.  If you want to be absolutely correct the bolt has a #4 on it.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

You can see the battery ground wire bolted to the engine case just below the motor mount. Never mind that it is a Honda bolt, it had a battery terminal bolt there when I got the bike. Every non-Honda bike we've resurrected has at least one Honda bolt on it somewhere.

My Goldwing is covered with Allen button head screws.  It seems they are all different lengths, and several diameters.  My guess is that no one told the engineers that standardized screw length and dia were worth the effort.
