Might seem like a stupid question but I am assuming the sleeve is under the circlip that retains the bearing so that it is engaged with the wheel ? If so measure the height and measure the depth of the sensor and you should be able to tell if it is all engaging as it should

Hi Wookie
Yes the sleeve is under the circlip.
I did measure it. And it isn't long enough to engage the slots.
Kind of why I came to the conclusion that it may be the wrong wheel.

Can you make one that is long enough or get somebody to extend the tube if you don't have welding kit ?
