ignition pulse counting was created by KeylAmi!
i'm struggling to wrap my head around this. i suspect it's one of those "it's so simple, it's hard" things.

kz700: 4 cylinders. 2 coils.
how many ignition pulses are there, on a single coil, for one revolution? I'm inclined to think 1.
because 4 stroke, but 4 cylinders, and only 2 coils, so waste spark on non-firing cylinder.

I'm working on some arduino code to make a digital rev counter. for FYI/calibration purposes.

1 revolution of the crank is 1 pulse on each coil 180 degrees apart. It is a “wasted spark” set-up

thank you. i was over analyzing this. heavily. there were water bottles, markers, a dull pair of scissors, and many bits of cardboard. and i couldnt wrap my head around it.

All the conversation on the interwebs of such counters say to divide by (some number because of different logic, each time).
