Paint codes for Luminous Red was created by KZ1000inaus
I'm looking at getting my KZ back to it's original Luminous red but I'm having trouble finding paint codes my spray painter can identify with.
I have details of LUBRI-TECH codes but he does not know what they are.
Any ideas of a colour that comes close that you may have used ?
I have a pic off a guy selling one on Ebay (attached) that looked right but it's obviously hard to copy from a picture!!

Yeah im really starting to like the origional colors again now that everybike you see isnt running them,I remember when every z1 or kz you saw was red or green and everybody couldnt wait to repaint them some way out drug induced color combination with five lbs of metal flake and air brushed murals to be cool!
I knew a guy when I was a kid who painted his brand new 78 z1r brown, what I wanted give for an origional blue 78z1r! :woohoo:

Yea mines been painted from it's original to a very very dark brown (actually looks black unless in bright sunlight)
It must have been some time ago as the brown is now cracking and looks dull..
I'm not sure how i'll match it up but now i have a better ides of the colour thanks to that pic

ColorRite?

Luminous Vintage Red - Paint code #3705 Kawasaki PS
Requires Base coat # 1905, its a start

Kawasaki P5 Luminous Vintage Red
SKU # : 3705
Vendor : ColorRite
Manufacturer : Kawasaki
Manufacturer Code : P5
Requires Base #1905

Type in Kawasaki Luminus Vintage red in google then click on Color Rite. Go to another browser page and type in Kawasaki Candy wine Red and look at them side by side and you will see that Candy Wine Red is more red and the Luminus Vintage Red is darker. Candy Wine Red is the correct color which Color Rite says the Kawasaki microfesh shows Candy Wine Red as the correct color. Or not...this is a bigger pain than I thought.
g'luck

EDIT:

intersting pdf link to color codes I found, its safe, I scanned it, but check it with your AV
