I have an '82 kz440 I've been working on. The tank and side covers were previously painted and starting to look trash from the sun and neglect. I like the bare metal look so said screw it and stripped the tank. I like how it came out but now the side covers don't match. Was thinking of putting those oval number plastics on but don't know how it would fit because the electronics that protrude out. What are your guys thoughts? Try and get something fabricated or maybe try to paint the side covers to look like metal? Possibly even extend the oval plastics to clear the electronics but don't know how silly that would look

Half Evil Customs that advertise here make metal side covers for the Z1R. Contact them and see if they can help.

Here are the ones I made for my project. Im not a good welder so they are very basic but came out well I think. Page 28 of my build thread shows the process.
