help me pick a paint color for my KZ650

Has anyone suggested blue?
Or green?

If I were to choose between blue and green, I will have to go with green. I feel like blue is common nowadays. 

I am thinking bigflake.as in harley sportster purple,maybe tangerine orange.

Try an edible from a friend! Then explore the universe man! I love painting! Guess I've inhaled too many lacquer fumes over 48 years!

Thanks to Warren3200GT for posting the pic of a Z650 in candy emerald green - I'm also a "Kawasakis should be green" mob.

I have the impression that some of the Z900's were also green, but a much darker shade - does anyone have a paint code for these? It might also be a nice option for the 650.

Both use similar gold & light green pinstriping, so an original Z650 pinstriping decal set would look good on the darker Z900 paint (IMHO).

Original paint 77 900 a4 in diamond dark green.  Much darker than Z650 candy emerald Green.(last pic) 
Kawasaki didn't have paint "codes" only names. In fact there was a big variation of shades when new straight from the factory.

 

Thanks Warren, excellent comparative pics. It's entirely personal preference of course. There's a lot to be said for sticking with the original colour range, especially if you're going for a "straight from the factory" look. If it were me, I'd be reaching for a can of the 77 900 a4 diamond green - I always thought it was a lovely colour!
