Definitely hideous! Are they supposed to go on the ends of the fins, or inbetween them? If the latter, won't they block air flow?

Photo number 3 shows it in its full - er - "glory". I think it's only the ribbed ignition cover that's for sale though.

They do not line up with the cooling fins at all. They are spaced differently and stand proud of the engine to allow air circulation. As a taller than average rider, I can appreciate the desire to have something between my knees and the hot engine, though these particular ones seem to be a bit low to work really well. For the most part, I would rather remove things from the bike than add to it.

They definitely are ugly,i always like to paint the jugs black and sand the edges of the fins back to aluminum as seen on the silver one ..Just my taste.

Wish you weren't all laying into this guy for wanting to do something different...I hold my tongue every time someone says they're going to paint their bike bright green. Have some respect.

Incorrect (not a lot of tongue-holding in this thread, for example) and also missing my point, while taking the time to make a pass at me. 

I'm just saying, this person is looking for a somewhat rare part, and there's not a lot of helpful feedback. The negativity is totally unnecessary.

Come on mate, he asked for help to find a part, if all you have is criticism maybe keep it to yourself. Mostly this forum is a very helpful environment.
These were a reasonably popular period part, i don't particularly like them either,  but I don't feel the need to rubbish someone else's decision, to each his own....
