Man gotta say I joined the forum to look at and drool over the pictures of the Z1 but man I've never seen these before, glad I joined

Interesting stuff presented here, I thank you for it.  I wanted to add a pic I have found of a 750 4 cylinder from 1970 in what appears to be a test bed for the 4 cylinder 4 stroke machines,  Any way here you go.
I think that bike is a styrofoam mockup, not a real machine.  Slmjim can confirm.
 
That's an early, inert styling mockup.  It  predates Mama Kaw's decision to re-engineer the original 750cc project into the 903cc displacement, in response to Honda's surprise release of the CB750 K0.

Part of a long-out-of-print book titled "Sunrise to Z1" documents the Daytona 24hr. record-setting runs.  If one is interested in collecting Z1 historical documentation they still turn up on fleaBay occasionally.
