My “guns” have no emotions. I can yell at them, call them names and nothing will ever happen. So saying they are an emotional topic isn’t correct. I never suggested that the gun itself had emotions however as a topic of discussion they certainly are. This is one of the biggest responses I have seen you post yet so is that not an emotional response ? If you consider consistently pushing back against tyranny and a left media an emotion then I’m guiltythe emotions come from people that don’t understand the machine. A machine or tool is only as good or bad as it’s operator both points I made in my post  Noted. Not to be cold and heartless but I can’t think of a single shooting that has ended as many lives in one event as were taken on September 11, yet people all over the world love planes, and have them in collections On average in America 34,000 people die in car accidents every year, that doesn’t stop people from discussing there love for cars. Do planes or cars cause emotional discussions, no, yes they do, environmentalists all over the world are trying to ban non essential and recreational flying, I think your conflicting issues, your stating an emotion driving by environmental groups, road safety campaigners are demanding horsepower limits, speed restrictors etc. Are these not emotional responses ? We don’t see this here, the SRT Hellcat’s are just an example. Speed and horsepower alone never killed anyone but in the hands of an idiot they are lethal.  As we both agree it’s the operator not the tool. then why should guns. It’s political and media driven. Up until the early ‘80’s it was common in schools to have gun clubs, ROTC, and Hunter safety. Something changed in our political climate and I believe it’s a master plan of our government. The citizens are easier to control if they are unarmed. So the gun was given a bad reputation and the millionaire leftist that control print and social media followed suite, and the government started to back off funding for mental health services. Now they use terms like assault weapons, wouldn’t a car or airplane fall under that same category, just saying. In closing all I can say is if the topic of guns bothers you emotionally, change the channel. I'm not sure how my post has been interpreted as me being bothered by guns I'm not !! I apologize as this was used to a counterpoint to a condition, not directed to it’s author As long as we are civil and not breaking any laws then we should be allowed to share our love of tools and machines with like minded. Completely agree as long as it doesn't get personal against people with a different opinion Funny how bongs and hash pipes didn’t cause an emotional response! As I have said in another post, that also doesn't bother me. You can do what ever you want so long as it doesn't negatively impact "me or mine" Agree 100%

@Mikaw - your idea of "pushing back against tyranny and a left media" is posting on an internet forum for motorcycles?

Once more, and I'm sure not for the last time, could the admins enforce the "no politics" rule?

That is a sweet "5 window" and thanks for the drag racing education, I always thought "gassers" ride high on a straight tube axle so I will consider myself better informed

I read the rules as stating To stay away from political debates. Says nothing about making a statement. In my post I actually debated the concept tha guns and other tool/machines can cause emotional responses. My counter point was it the author that is experiencing the emotion not the item. Would you like to debate?

I use to watch this run every week at US 30 in NW Indiana.  It would appear to jump all 4 wheels off the ground each time another gear was grabbed.
