I bought this bike in February 2018. It didn't run very well. I have spent the time since bringing it back close to stock. I have had more issues with this dang thing but with reading this forum and getting some great help from the people here, I feel comfortable saying that I can trust riding this bike more than a few miles from home. Just in time for winter. There are a few more things to do like rebuild a master cylinder for it as well as the calipers. And repaint the tank again. I had it perfect then knocked it off the stand when messing with the carbs. I think it fractured my arm when I tried to save it as well.
Anyway, thanks again to all who helped me both directly and indirectly with this ongoing project.

KZR is the most knowledgeable forum out there as far as I have found. Do a search and I always end up here to get questions answered.

The only other thing planned right now is to find a usable fuel tank for my sons '83 KZ550. His has a serious dent in it just about the size and shape of his knee. Since these tanks are so rare, I want to get another before I try trying to fix his. The tank on the bike has a two bolt tab. I have only seen 2 for sale and they were both junk.
