Noobie

Not sure this correct place for this? I received email from an admin that I didn't introduce myself first...
Diesel mechx.Texan 57 yrs old.
Been riding since 1974 (Kaw mc1m) I have owned many bikes since. F7, DT250, KX80, KDX200, RM125. RM250. XR500. gpz550. gpz750. zx900 (Top gun), goldwing, BMW R1100, KZ1000P. Yam R6, zg1000. Ltd454, Vt700, current owner of 3 bikes: 88 zg1000 / 81 kz 750 H (ltd) / 83 kz 650 (csr).
My favorites have been gpz750, zx900 & the beemer.
Not to bash on Kaw but the Bmw was the most reliable trouble free bike ever 40K+ and nothing but reg maint. Worst was the goldwing hardly a summer that bike wasnt in the shop for something.
Once rode my zx9 from Las Vegas, NV to Bullhead City, AZ (97 miles) in under 40 mins back when I was young and dumb LOL (and yes that is over 120 mph avg for the whole trip)
I'm working on combining my current 3 bikes into 1 good one since 1 has a bad engine (kz750). 1 my kid crashed (zg1000) and 1 (kz650) has been stripped to just a frame and engine.
Interesting factoid many don't know. Tom Cruise's black & red 1985 zx900 in the movie top gun was actually painted in a 1984 zx750 black & red paint scheme. Don't believe me look it up!
