I think he's referring to the Campbell X-Pipe?

Yes, a pipe like this maybe? I had one in the 90's but it was black with polished aluminum silencers. You could shorten them if necessary. I really like the under-the-tail idea anyway, but just thought this type MIGHT work to expose the sssa.

The campbell pipe does look good, and it might work.....The only possible conflict I see is with my lower linkage, just as I have with my Yosh. I would need to get ahold of one to test fit it. But the shorty duel silencers might work....Again, a test fitting would be in order. Anyone have a pic of a campbell fitted to their Kz?

Just an FYI: I had a "Maxi-X" header and it was a total piece of shite. Marketed as "maximum horse power, maximum torque, maximum clearance", and it was maximum shite build quality that rotted out almost instantly. Mine wasn't chrome, maybe they've gotten better over the years. Just a 'heads up' for you; I'd hate to see this cherry get a part made of *poo*.

Duely noted BadKaw. I have my suspictions that guy isn't on the up and up with his over the top marketing on his website. I'm still leaning toward a kerker/V&H header.

Happy New Year everyone B)

Yep, roger that! Happy New Year to you, too!

Stonemaster is on the money with his V&H comment. I just threw one away recently as it had rotted through. My personal opinion is that they became a T-shirt company with a 'parts' side-business after they made bed-fellows with Harley Davidson. It's okay, I mean everybody has to take their path in life, and they had stopped being market-competitive back right about 1990 (I think Byron Hines had JUST departed at that point), I actually had a beautiful full chrome header on my ZX-11 and it dynoed 1 bHp less (LESS!!!) than my stock system had. Thought it was a defect or something, I mean you can't argue with numbers; then I read an article where they did a straight across header comparison with a V&H included...they got the exact same result...1 bHp loss on a dyno. It's been back in the mid-90s, but still...I think they have a quality problem. They aren't who/what they started out to be.
Again: just my 2 pennies; and I STILL dig your bike!!!
:woohoo:

one purchase i made came with mismatched stuff...including a decade old new/unmounted V&H chrome regular street bike bend....it does not recess into the ports all that evenly when cradled and lifted up to begin mount process...i had it ready to try on my MKII early on and got frustrated trying to bang one of the pipes to pop into the ex seat/port with the heal of my palm.......in fairness this pipe may have been boogered before coming into my possession...at the time i was wrestling it i just backed off and mounted an extra jardine pipe i had...i remembered while i was trying to force it to seat, folks saying they can have alignment issues...
