That tank is so trick and yet so stock looking most will never believe it is hand built. Better keep a very clean magnet handy to "win over" the wagering doubters.
Congrats on the project's "roller" status. Long road, but much accomplished.

I know how big my grin is seeing it in roller status, Adam must need two faces to hold all his grin.

Wow, everything looks great! That front end is stout looking....very beefy. By the way, what do the new triples weigh compared to the stock triples? Sorry if you already covered that. They look a lot stronger but I'm guessing not heavier at all? When do you plan to install the other side of that swingarm?

Ohhh yeahhhhh! Dat's bumpin'. Nice roller Adam. She don't look too bad from the left side either. Did you ever fabricate the front tank mount yokes? It looks like your tank is sitting a little low in the front.

Unfortunately Mike, I only got the left half when I bought it. I wasn't working much and my wife was due to have a baby so I couldn't afford both sides. As far as the weight, I did not weigh the triples; stock or irishwills. My intent was to weight the complete front ends to see what difference there is. I haven't done that just yet, I need to wait until I have the risers and bars. ANd yeah, it IS stout looking, isn't it
Thanks Josh, it feels great! I haven't made the tank mounts yet, it's on my to do list with my helper. That said, the tank is sitting exactly where it would with mounts. I put the seat on this evening and sat on the bike, and it doesn't seem any shorter. I'm still on my toes :silly:

OK, next on the list is to complete the frame; finish up a couple brackets and go over my frame welds with a tig torch. Then make a battery box and mounts for the box and electrical componants. To break things up a little over the next month it will take to finish the frame I'll work on the body and the engine as convenient. That should cover my progress goals for the next 30-60 days

good job so far.
so bens trees accept the kz tapered bearings, but use the stock type gixxer nut?
the nut is a nice little piece of jewelry, just don't scratch it up when installing

You sir are correct. Ben's stem uses the kz bearings, but is threaded to use the gixxer spanner nut and the top nut. I'll have to make sure I use a plastic wrench when I install the pretty nut
