Just about ready to re-gang the carburetors.

Carbs have been successfully reassembled. It took a couple tries to get the choke linkage set back up correctly.

While waiting for the rear caliper rebuild kit to arrive, I switched over to the front end. I need to design my own headlight/inst. mount, mating the Kawi parts to the Honda upperfork clamp. Since I plan on using the stock headlight and most of the mounting bracket, it was back into the blast cabinet.

I finished painting the upper clamp, and assembled the steering stem.

I switched the handlebar clamps, and the position is much flatter. Looks more like the one piece Superbike bars the way. It does look it may be too narrow for the gauge cluster. Looks like I may have to push those forward to clear the risers.

I started to mock up a mounting bracket for the guages and headlight today. Keep in mind the bracket pictures are the part in *rough* shape, still need to trim and fine tune it. The main plate is 11 ga. steel, and the two side pieces are 16 ga. steel. These two will be supporting the ignition switch only, so lighter works just fine. The thicker plate will be bolted directly to the bottom of the top fork clamp, and will be holding the guages and the headlight. I managed to use the stock headlight bracket without modification. I will tie in the bottom of that bracket with the theaded hole in the bottom of the lower fork clamp.

Now the headlight bucket is mounted, I can't get the guage cluster to fit. More welding will be required (scratching head)! I still need to add a bracket to the lower fork clamp as well.

I am using Baja Designs turn signals.
The stock chrome signals were too rusted to re-use.
