Have any of you seen the new Z900RS? I think they did a great job in channeling the original Z1!

These bikes have been out since 2018-ish. I want one so bad. I think I'd go for one from the first 2 years, as they have the original orange/brown Z1 colour scheme, and they're starting to slowly pop up in the used market.

I was finally satisfied with all of the grinding and sanding on the swing arm modification, so it made it to powder coat today. I should have it back about the same time the new pivot bearings arrive. I have to take another detour for a week or so anyway - the daughter's '72 bug needs some dad love. Pulling the motor and installing a set of dual Kadron carburetors.

Oh happy day! I love getting parts. My new swing arm bearings showed up. These are German made bearings, and $6/ea. cheaper than Partzilla/Z1E.

Krazee1 - you are a frickin' rock star! I got the shims you sent today, too! Now I can get the head back on the motor. Woo hoo!!!!

Glad to help! I was trying to remember what day I sent them last week, possibly Tuesday? I know it was the day after our latest snowstorm. Not too bad of service for the good old U.S. Postal Service for $.85!

She is back on both feet again. I packed the swing arm bearings and pressed them in today. Got the back end put back together. Now if I could just get to the bench with the cylinder head on it...

Note* this is not ride height, the front suspension is being compressed by the tie downs.

Good work, looks like your back on track again. How much chain clearance did you end up with?

Loads of space!
I imagine you can hardly see the change to the swingarm from the side. Nice work.
