I did order a couple, made sure the ship address was correct, so we will see when they arrive. As much as I appreciate the favor, I rarely accept, or ask for, one twice. A guy has to have some standards to live by...

It dawned on my that once I get the head back on, I will by able to test fit the exhaust. Talk about an appearance change! I have had that brand new Delkovic header in the box for over a year now. Never assembled. I am sure once it is installed it will fire up the motivation! I should get around to ordering some new coils / wires soon as well.

Tomorrow I am getting the NPT plugs to block off the fresh air passages. As soon as those are tapped and installed I should be able to install the cylinder head. The last two shim should be arriving any day (says the ultimate optimist!).

I finally got around to unwrapping my Delkevic header. I am pretty impressed with the quality of manufacture, and the welding looks top notch. Most likely robotic from the extreme consistency. The company I worked for had a Panasonic robotic welder, but it was a MIG. I'm getting excited to see this exhaust on the bike!

I’d be excited too. That thing is nice. I bet it will look great installed

I am using a 1/8-27 NPT plugs to block the fresh air ports in the head. The holes the factory drilled into the head are the exact size for this thread, which meant no drilling.

I am hoping for an upswing more than parallel to the road. If it mounts too parallel to the road I may modify it and have it welded at the angle I like.

Nice logo etched into the stainless muffler. No metal stickers, or riveted name plates.

I'm sure you'll love it. I'm very happy with mine. Shouldn't be anywhere near parallel to the road if it's anything like mine. Clears above the rear axle.

This is what it looks like mounted to the stock footrest brackets. There's a bit of leway to mount it higher, but not much or the pipes won't seal at the head.
