Who thinks up trying a hair product on yellowed plastic for the first time? Worth a shot. Here is the rear m/c reservoir marinating in Salon 40.

There is a calibration screw under the plastic guage face. Lower right of the needle bottom.

You and me both! It's like the first person in history to shuck open an oyster, look in that slimy mess, and say "that looks delicious!" Who comes up with ideas like this?!

Okay, soaking for six days now and no visible change. I call this myth BUSTED. Either that or someone just one over on me. Not sure which...

Sorry I sent you Snipe hunting. I have never tried it but asphalt900 claims it works.

I will continue to let it marinade until my rear m/c piston arrives. Whatever effect has occurred by then will be it, and the rear brake system is going back together.

The brake piston is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I have the parts needed to make the pliers to crimp the choke butterfly screws. Going to set up and do the float height measurements on the bench soon. Once the carbs are finished and on, the wiring harness goes on. I would really like the look of yellow plug wires. I picked up the green Dyna coils, but still need the plug wires. This Spring is doable. Want to hear this puppy fire!

The videos go to a lot more effort than I am willing to do on a part that is totally covered. Besides, the yellowed color is kinda close to the gold powder coat on the rims! :silly:
