Small update... the Suzuki swingarm is firmly mounted to the GPz for the first time. Wheel bearings have arrived to accommodate the larger Suzuki axle. The wheel has been disassembled and I'm headed to the fabricator's shop Saturday morning to make up spacers for inside & outside the wheel & get the wheel centered in the swingarm.

And I started bleeding the front brakes... a tedious process with stone age tools & a completely empty system.

Onwards!

I figured with spring coming, I better get cracking on & not posting, so time for a proper update.

Wheels & swingarm finalized, centered & spaced. Brakes finally sorted. Kerker with fresh coat of paint. Gauges mounted, (wiring still to finish) and fuel injection flow meter & harness reinstalled. Fresh HP & LP fuel lines, fresh filters all 'round, valves checked & found to be in spec(!) & of course, an oil change

Looks great. Love the wheel swap. Bikini fairing would be icing on the cake!

Thanks Doc,
the fairing is still hanging on the wall awaiting me completing the harness for for the speedo & idiot lights. Then the headlight can go in, and FINALLY the fairing.

Hmm, my reply disappeared ?   I've never owned an 1100ES, I had a 750ES in the 80's and was going to buy an 1100, by the time I'd found myself in a position to buy one the GSXR's were king, I ended up buying an 88 GSXR1100J, had it for six weeks before it was stolen...!!!!

My eyes keep going back to the Suzuki!  I had an '83 GS750E that I put almost 60k miles on.  Can you spill some info (without going too far off the topic).

'87 Suzuki Savage 650 Street Tracker (lost in the shop fire)

Sure skidmark,
1983 GS11es with some "period correct" upgrades. Astralite wheels, Fox Shox, Sandy Kosman rotors, Spondon calipers, Metmachex swingarm, 35mm Keihin CR Special carbs, Motogpwerks exhaust and RaceTech GSXR11 forks recently added

I like it, they have brilliant engines, I see you also have the later version of the Astralites with the extra rivets, Nice...
