Don't you just hate that feeling? I 've been looking around for another toy and have come across 3 bikes.
The first is a '81 ( I think ) 750 LTD that has some electrical problems. Only 1 coil will fire at a time, switch the wires and the other coil will fire, any clues? I can most likely get it for $300.
The second is a 1984 1100 LTD with 31,000 miles and has the front fairing, saddlebags and trunk on it. From the road it looks pretty clean and the old gentleman wants $1300.
Number 3 is a 1972 Honda CL175 scrambler in real good condition for $1200.

What do you guys think?

On the KZ...most likely it is one of the ignition pick-ups is bad...parts are readily available and you should be able to replace the entire system (ignition, coils, plug wires) for about US$300.

BUT...I can't tell you which bike to buy..it all depends on what type of riding you do:)

yep, the KZ (atleast mine) does have issues with the pickup pulse generator coils.

start the bike, jiggle the wires one at a time with the points cover off, it may fire beeter after finding what wire is not getting contact.

for a used one around here they want $80+ for one.
