Mikuni 29 smooth bores

I have a set of smooth bores that I may sell to finance another project. I have to find other funds as well and if I don't find other funds I won't sell the carbs. I just want to get an idea of what they are worth and how quick They would sell. They are on being used every day and work very well.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

I have seen sets go for $500-$600 on ebay. 29's will fetch the cash for sure. Hold out and get the money for them. BTW......for anyone purchasing them, they are the easiest carb to tear down and rebuild.

I hear that they're garbage! But if you want, I can save you the trip to the dump and MAYBE I can do something with them. You know, for some back burner project that doesn't require good carbs. I'll even pay shipping. ;)

Wow....you're a saint! how can I thank you for saving me this headache?

Really though, I know they're worth a fair amount for an old set of carbs, I'm just trying to decide if I should part with them to get another toy. If they did bring $600, I could buy another whole KZ. Just thinking out loud. Thanks for all of the input.

could always find use for another set.

i have also seen them go for $500-600 on e-bay.
i got lucky and found a set someone had mislabled and i got mine for $258.
i know z1 is always looking for sets and i would also check if wg is looking for a set.
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

I have this habit of picking favorites. If it were me, id deck out one big beautiful bike. Your baby... Buy yourself new toys, sure. But pay proper attention to your girl first. Give her all the best, and piece together the rest.
