I got a drunk bike
27 Aug 2007 14:38
That's what they call these things around here.
Less than 50cc.
No driver's license needed.
No insurance needed.
No tag needed.
Must have no shifting mechanism.
It was free.
The guy even helped me put it into the back of the truck.
ADDED:
Would not start.
Cleaned carb. Twice.
Hot spark, CDI ignition, no battery needed. New plug, no start.
Good compression, less than 1200 miles on a 1996.
Took out muffler baffle, and tried that.
VROOOOM!
Out came LOTS of crusty rusty stuff.
Filled the basement with fluffy clouds of two-stoke exhaust.
It's a blast. Does 35. 2-speed automatic.
I need a gas cap and some other stuff for it.
Get your motors running. . .
Head out on the highway. . .
Born to be MILD!

I love it, but if it was mine I would have to repaint the tank and put some harley emblems or decals on it!
Of course, I tend to get beat up a lot, so follow my advice with caution! Ed

You have no choice in this matter.
You must either make a cafe racer or a chopper out of it.
The council has spoken.
