KZ Twins

There's a little motorcycle sitting on a lot for sale in town here. I want to say it's a 750 twin, but not sure, the tank and sidecovers have been redone and it doesn't say anywhere.

What other KZ twins were there? I think they made the 440 twin, but weren't they belt drive?

There wasn't anybody at the shop to talk to at lunch and I didn't have time. If I get cut loose early enough today, I may ride down and see if they'll let me test ride it. Looks like a neat little bike if it could be had cheap.

750 twins were made from 76 - 84, excluding 81, and 84 was Canada-only.

400 twins from 74 - 80-ish (I forget)
440 twins from 80-ish on.

Then there's the w650 twins, the original W's, the new ninjas, etc, etc....

(2.) '78 KZ750B3 Twin - Commuter
(3.) '78 KZ750B3 Twin - Commuter
(4.) '75 KZ400D - Sold

I'm pretty sure this is a 750 twin then. Didn't get out of the truck to look, but it seems too big for a 440. It's on a used car dealers lot, so I'm sure he wants more than it's worth, but it probably won't move fast so maybe when the weather gets cooler he'll go down.

There was also the KZ305 twin. Unlike the other 360-degree KZ twins, this one had a 180-degree motor (like a CB350).
