Kawasaki Kobe Factory

I just got my latest issue of American Motorcyclist.
There are quite a few pages showing of a tour of the Kawasaki factory in Japan, and it doesn't just show off the bikes. We are talking (giant) ships, big machinery and all the other stuff Kawsaki makes. I thought it was pretty interesting!

Sweet! I will have to look up the other things Kaw makes, I hadn't even thought about that.

Gotta love the Kawasaki green teddy bear in this pic:

After reading the article, it's good to see that the motorsports division is profitable, in fact comprising the single largest unit accounting for 27% of worldwide sales. The only US company that I know of with even a fraction of the range of product line of Kawasaki would be John Deere.

The article would have been even better if the author would have gotten the displacement right on the Z-1 (see the 4th paragraph in the 3rd section) ...but hey, he only works for American Motorcyclist Online ... it's not like he gets paid to know about motorcycles or anything.

...ah well, at least it got coverage! ;)

I caught that too, BK. But these days when 150cc either side qualifies for a particular displacement class (per marketing), whatcha gonna do? So they rounded up 10%.

I agree, hmondo, she's as cute as a button.
