Good bikes...there will be a huge difference between your current scooter and the potential LTD1000. Price seems a bit high, but with the low miles, I'd be tempted...a negotiating point might be you'll have to fork out US$200.00 for tires...so perhaps he'd be willing to drop the price to accomodate you.

Looks like a pretty nice unmolested original survivor. I don't think the price is out of line at all. If I owned it I doubt I'd be inclined to take any less for it than what he is asking. That's just my opinion though, you have in your favor that it is way past peak selling season for bikes. If I were trying to buy it I'd want to know why he needs to sell it and then bargain from there. If you want it I don't think you'd be getting hurt at $2250.00 I've seen lesser bikes fetch alot more and it may take you awhile to find another one as nice that isn't a million miles away from you.

If you have the cash and a place to keep her, go for it! You might try to talk him down a little, since the bike has been listed before and not sold;)
