Might be a good opertunity for those in Kansas.. The article is pretty offensive stating that harleys are more reliable and stuff but hey maybe you can buy a used KZ1000 cheap!

what a load of shit, harley does not beat kawasaki in duability and quality control. My question is how many 30 + year old Hardly Davidsons are running around with the origonol un rebuilt motor. Probally not a whole hell of alot. My 74z1 sat from 1983 to 2004 and i fired it up and have been riding it as a daily rider for over 2 years. The motor and bike have 18000 miles and the motor has never been rebuilt. Now my friend has a 2002 hardly, it's a preety bike, but he has had the motor rebuit 2 times and it only has 8000 miles:ohmy:  . There is nothing that beets the feel of an old inline 4 kawi.

True, and I read that the CHP did not put their KZ's up for sale until they had hit at least 50,000 miles. They still don't use HD's either, they now use BMW from what I understand. I don't think Kawasaki currently makes a police bike since discontinuing the KZ1000 version in 2005? Not positive on those "facts" but I picked that up somewhere
Good luck keeping up with a fleeing Ford Pinto on your Harley.. great for parades, suck for real police work.
