Thats a great looking bike. You should be well chuffed with it . I didnt realize the CSR was a twin,I thought it was a 4. A twin will be a lot cheaper to maintain,so good news there. Those colours would look more at home on a Suzuki methinks but still, youve got a real peach there.
Good luck with it.

That's a tidy looking bike. I'm hoping to clean mine up and sort the bits on it and see how long I want to keep it before I go get something faster lol. Do you do many meets etc? Like I said, very new to all this classic stuff haha

I've only had it 6 weeks and needs a bit more sorting out.
I only returned to riding a bike regularly about 18 months ago after losing interest about 10 years ago, I wanted to go slower than I did when I was young, so I bought a classic, the Z was built the year before I started riding.

Not really into bike meets and stuff, but I'll probably go to the Copdock Bike Show in a couple of weeks.

I've also got this

I have not been riding that long but second child has meant I need to clear some debt a lot quicker then planned, the Kz was part of a part ex deal for my FZ1 which was a good bike but was a lot of money to ride round on when I needed to clear debt. But as I'm still new to riding I am willing to try all types of bikes until I find a type of bike I really enjoy.

I also have a ZZR600 that I've started converting into a bit of a streetfighter, I picked it up for £25 and it was a bit shabby but couldn't lose money on it. Haha.

By Aherne: This is the part I'm confused at also. It's a twin, as it has 2 carbs and 2 exhaust ports correct?

The PO had no clue about it and definitely hadn't built it himself. But it has a sticker saying "CSR 750" so I assumed that's what it was. Is there any way of finding out from a frame number or something?

Yes, a Twin has 2 cylinders & there are 2 mufflers (stock).

1982 KZ750-M1 CSR. cyclechaos.com has frame & engine number info. The date of mfg should be on the white steering stem vin label. keep in mind that, as with any vehicle, the date of mfg isn't necessarily the model year --- your bike could have been made in the second half of 1981, but it would still be an 82. Just an fyi, the later 750-K belt drive models are similar.

Ok, so confusion from PO, a Reg checked shows in a 1982 (first registered in 97). I'm assuming it's still a csr and he got that bit right. Lol. This could make my google searches easier.
