Might get some flack over this. It's the same stuff we used on our roads. Non toxic, cheap and most of all it works. 
Melts snow too.

I like the funny pics that snowmonster must have been the same that has been on visit Oslo here in Norway the last days.I watched the first vid when you started to repair the box and was thinking ..Why does he not use some woven fiberglass mats and was going to suggest that ,but then watched the next vid and that is what you did ! .
