Steve, I sent you the new set not the used I just recently picked up. The used was untested so I didn’t want to skew any tests with unknown equipment. With the restrictors in you will not see full vacuum. That tool is ready to be used. When testing and adjusting the vacuum value is irrelevant. You’re looking for them to be all as equal as possible. With your number 3 carb fixed you’ll have to adjust 1,2 and 4 to match it.

Hi Steve, give it a good balancing and record it while you are doing it. I'm sure people here who haven't tried it yet will appreciate a video. I used the carbtune on my KZ when I balanced mine carbs and loved it. I wish it was as easy as Z1 carbs. On he KZ you have to take off the carburetor tops to get at the individual throttle stop screws. At least on the Z1 the stops screws are out in the open. Albeit, still have to have the tank off.

And after that, put new sticky grips on...cause Stevie's going to need them!

You mean 17.5's and ditch the 20's?

When #'s 1, 2 & 4 slides were raised to bring #3 down, it affected the air/fuel mix in each carb. The idle-air screws may need a slight adjustment...not sure, but #3 may need the mix leaned a bit, and the others made a touch richer.

Sync check after changing a valve shim, and again after everything settles in...and whenever you feel like it.
