I was wondering if this would be a fair price for a winter project. Needs a list of things to get road worthy like all the cables are froze up. The levers and throttle are all froze up. Hasn't been ran in 14 years. Original owner passed away 10 years ago so it has been in storage. A little over 19,000 miles. I can pick it up for $1200

Absolutely worth it. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. In fact if you don't want it let me know where it is and i'll come get it. I have 2 1980 1300 models now.It looks like a lot of work but unless the motor is locked up it shouldn't be too bad to get it going again.Thanks,Bob.

Price seems a little high to me unless you live in a high cost urban environment.

Vintage bikes are worth as much or as little as what someone is willing to pay. Region & time of year can make a difference too.

Browse fleaBay completed sale listings to get an idea what they're selling for. NADA & Kelly Blue Book prices.

We're not familiar with KZ1300's. From the pics it looks reasonably complete & unmolested. Such one-owner bikes can be a blessing for the resto hobbyist.

What is your intent for the bike? A box-stock, 100 point museum-quality trailer queen resto? Or a correct-at-a-glance daily rider? Intent should help inform purchase decisions.

Someone in another thread (KZQ?) indicated we have a sister site that focuses on KZ1300's. Likely to be much more expertise there.
