Got my bike back on Sunday from my motor guy. Many many thanks to him. I think it will pass the test form my KZR family. Just have to get exhaust done. Using a 3.5lb. Micron titanium muffler. 1327cc with Larry Cavanaugh GPZ1100 head. God rest his soul.

Wow! beautiful and awesome looking K-Z, great detail. Have you been on a test run yet ? Are you able to electric start it ? Also, if you haven't already you may want to cotter-pin or secure the side covers on so that they don't come off at speed. To nice to get damaged.

Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it. It's been a long time being put together but very meticulously done. About your question about electric start. It does start because I put a reconditioned CB 900 starter on it. I haven't had the track yet or ran it yet because I have to get the exhaust on it and then we're taking it to have it put on a dyno to fine tune it. Just got it back this past Sunday.

Actually the chain is an EK MVXZ530 QuadraX. The tire isnt a slick so the contact wont be like a slick. I didnt have it done when we went to Ocean City, Md. bike week in September but you can bet I'll be cruising the coast next year. Banshee, dont know where you are but come on!!!! lets ride when weather breaks.

Actually, once I get the muffler done, it's done. I did from bare frame chemically stripped and powder coated. Every small piece powder coated or chromed. Every nut, bolt, washer replaced with stainless or titanium. It's an absolute new 1977 KZ1000. Even front wheel was from a EX305 that was painted stock. It was sent to Paul's chrome and $600 later it with the brake setup took almost 9 pounds of of the front end. Measured and measured to get all to work together.
