There's a Zephyr for sale for $3800 CAD. I've heard these are rarer than hen's teeth. It's a beautiful bike. Does this seem like a good price?

Would attach a photo, but I keep getting an error saying it's too big, even though it's only 3MB.

Doesn't seem like a bad price, they are a very nice bike to ride, the motor is based on the kz650 and can will suffer from primary chain rattle and clutch basket rattle at some stage but this is normal and they keep on going, the tanks can rot out fast, so if it's a good one drain down every year and use a fuel stabilizer, one more thing keep the original airbox and make sure it stays snugly fitted, people have a tendency to put pods on and they never run right after due to them having CV's.

I own a '91. It is basically a '80s KZ750 with newer 90's suspension and brakes, and oil cooler included, like the GPZs.....but no, it does not have the hot-rodded head of the GPZs....and probably that's for the better.

Almost anything related to KZ750-4 applies. They are 'rare' because did not sell well in North America, and were pulled out of the market after two years. They were supposed to be 'retro' version of old KZ750 using same engine, but somehow the concept failed to exite riders, against the newer liquid-cooled bikes in same showroom for about same money.

Price is subjective, to the area, and what you are looking for. I paid for mine $1700 USD 20 years ago with 9K miles (14K Kms) on the clock. I reckon in the US I could probably find a used (much more modern) Suzuki SV650, for same money you mention...but again, it would not have the charm and simplicity of this old air cooled engines.....and prices may be increasing as they becomes more 'antiques'
