Can anyone identify the rider on the photo ? I assume it`s very early 70`s, I also assume it`s a 500 and it could easily be Canada or Australia, whatever, it`s a hell of a shot !!

After a bit of puzzling I think it is a 1971 s2 350cc, tach drive out of r/hand casing is a clue, and possibly a glimpse of 2ls brake linkage...

Hervé Guilleux seems to be the pilot name, La Coupe Kawasaki seems to be the name for the race. Year seems to be 1974.

1974: from 350 S2 to 400 S3
The 1974 edition saw the arrival of the 400 S3, an evolution of the 350 S2: the 400 S3 delivered only 42 HP at 7000 rpm (165 kg, 170 km / h) but it gained in reliability and flexibility. 'use.
However, Cup riders continue to use parts of the 350 S2 to optimize the performance of the new 400 S3.
As in the previous year, the drivers are divided into three qualifying groups (3 races per group).
The 45 finalists then compete for the final victory over 7 races.
Bernard Sailler wins in front:
- Hervé Guilleux (2nd, future GP driver)
- Michel Baloche (3rd, future official Motobécane 125 GP rider)
- Jacques Agopian (5th)
- Jean-Louis Albera (8th)
