Memorial Day Ride

Well, I finally managed to pull off the mother of all Southern California rides. I combined the Ortega Highway, Angeles Crest, all the roads to and from Crestline/Arrowhead/Big Bear (CA 138, CA 18, CA 330, and CA 38), Oak Glen, and Idyllwild all into a single day's ride.

I started at 8:30 AM and returned around 6:30 PM. According to my odometer, the trip was 439 miles. It was a BEAUTIFUL Memorial Day and traffic was not bad at all - I lucked out by going against the flow of traffic and my 900 ran like a champ. It couldn't have worked out any better!



Thank you to all those who have served this great country. I hope you were able to spend the day surrounded by friends and loved ones.

I'm already scheming how to include a bit of the Pacific Coast Highway and Mulholland Highway. That would make for one incredibly long day however.
