Fly cutting pistons

When you mill the head .025.
When you remove the base gasket.
When you degree the factory big cams.

You run out of piston to valve clearance.

So I fabricated a piston vise.
First set of pistons are KZ1000J I had laying around.
Then I'll do the one for my GPz1100.

Great job on fabricating that fixture, with nice results, to boot!  And, although it goes without saying, I'll say it anyway - don't forget to gently radius all of those sharp edges around the valve reliefs!

Eight years ago already.  Got 22,000 miles on that setup.  Installed the MTC 1135 piston kit in 2019, with help from Joe/Pit Stop Performance.

BTW I still have the pistons.  They cleaned up nicely.

Just another simple jig for a one-off project...never got another thought after it landed in the dumpster.
