1982 kz440 excessive engine vibration

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on some excessive noise and engine vibration on my 1982 kz440 engine. The back story: my 1980 kz440 craftshalf chain guide broke and destroyed the bottom end. I found a “working” 1982 kz440 missing a few parts but was told the engine runs. I swapped the engine along with the points, carbs, exhaust etc. from my old bike. (Electronic ignition wasn’t working) and reassembled it on my 1980 kz440 frame and etc. the engine starts right up, has power, shifts, battery gets 13.5… volts etc. but I can feel a lot more vibration while running, a lot more than on my old bike engine. At first I thought it was the stator wheel but it’s charging the battery, so I’m assuming it’s running ok. Compression is in the 145-150 (per manual testing). Any ideas of where to start that would be the least intrusive? Again, starts up and runs fine but I’m concerned I may be damaging something though. Any positive comments would be helpful. I appreciate everyone’s time. I’ll try to attach a video. Thank and Happy Riding….

Ignition timing, cam timing, carb sync, carbs cleaning, air leaking boots, valve lash, air/fuel mixture screws,....
A runnig engine video would be very helpful.....

Oh boy, Oh boy, doesn´t sound good, it hurts my stomach to hear that poor little engine!
Cam chain tention (guides are good?) and valve lash need to be adjust! The aftermarket carbs need a throttle cable and vaccum sync!
Only the future will tell what else need some attention next ......

Nebr_Rex  is right, hear/see the video multiple times now but sorry to say, a bad rod bearing sounds possible to me too.
