APE doesn't bore for free, but they give a discount if you buy the piston kit from them.

And that added up to almost free. Last quote I got around here was $400. Most couldn't do it at all.

I found the boring information on the APE website. (It's not linked to the parts page so didn't see it before):
Four Cylinder with Removable blocks
LC100 Bore and hone with piston purchase $140.00
LC150 Bore and hone with customer's pistons $250.00
Four Cylinder with Removable blocks
LC100 Bore and hone with piston purchase $140.00

Re: Andrew Cams Question...
16 Jun 2023 19:05You have to remember that a "normal" bore job is usually 1mm over, you have to go 3mm over - 3 times as many passes which will be more money. You should make sure and ask them if its extra.I found the boring information on the APE website. (It's not linked to the parts page so didn't see it before):

Last time I went 3mm over it was $350 (last years price)

Re: Andrew Cams Question...
17 Jun 2023 05:20If you plan on getting 100 horsepower out of a Kz750 motor, you better find yourself some stronger, better con rods. Just remember your motor is only as good as its weakest link. In the 750 motor I built for road racing I used some shot peened and polished GPz or Turbo 750 rods.
The GPz rods share a common PN with a bunch of different 650 and 750 model bikes. The 750 Turbo rods are unique, though, so maybe they are hardened? The pin is different.

Re: Andrew Cams Question...
17 Jun 2023 06:41 - 17 Jun 2023 06:47The GPZ Turbo rods use a 16mm pin, the only aftermarket off the shelf pistons that fit those are the Wiseco 810cc 8:1 flat top turbo pistons. If you plan on getting 100 horsepower out of a Kz750 motor, you better find yourself some stronger, better con rods. Just remember your motor is only as good as its weakest link. In the 750 motor I built for road racing I used some shot peened and polished GPz or Turbo 750 rods. I don't remember for sure anymore. Or if you could find yourself some Carrillo rods that would make your bottom end damn near bulletproof!!!! It really sucks when you spend all that money in a motor and it puts a rod through your cases!!!!
The stock 650/750 rods are plenty strong to support great HP increases (I have run 40% Nitro on stock 650 rods) The are a forged steel rod and they don't stretch much at all. I have revd my engine to 11K lots of times with a tight piston to head clearance.
The only difference in the 650 and 750 rods is the 750 uses 1mm larger rod bolts. The Turbo rods and the 750 rods are physically identical except for the wrist pin, I do not believe they are hardened or made of special material.

Nebr_Rex, if you are asking if I'm interested in buying the #15 cams from your stash I might be. Please let me know. (I was going to PM you but that function doesn't seem to be working.)
I have a set of both NOS No. 10 and No. 15 cams in somewhere in my stash, if interested I can dig them out.

Thanks for putting those pictures up. I'm interested in the #15's and would like to know what you want for them. I attempted to PM you but that didn't work for me. If you are able to send me a PM we can communicate that way. Otherwise I have a secondary email address I can post here and you could email me. Let me know how you want to work it, I'm kind of new on this forum so not sure how to coordinate this.
