Hi all i thought id share this with you. After trying all ways to start the bike, to which it flatly refused, i traced it to four fouled plugs. Dry sooty and unable to spark. Puzzle as they were cleaned and gapped only a hundred miles ago. The only change i have made is to start using e5 petrol, always having put cheaper e10 juice in. This relates to the ethanol content. Air filters as clean as a whistle and no carb tinkering has gone on, so my conclusion is that contrary to all ive been told about old bikes needing low ethanol, mine actually needs the stuff! I wonder if anybody out there has had a similar experience? Regards and keep safe.
