KZ 1000 Cilynder Head Compatibility

I'm a little confused with the compatibility of cylinder heads that the kz1000 has. I have a kz1000 st E1 shaft with problems in the spark plug threads and I need to know which other models it is compatible with, to buy a cylinder head.

If anyone knows of a cylinder head for sale please let me know, I would appreciate it.

Spark plug threads can be fixed.

Any KZ 1000 head from 1979-80 will be a direct bolt on replacement.

Thanks, is the 3th insert and is realy damage on 2 and 3 holes .

A head from any 903cc / 1015cc carburated engine will bolt straight on.
They are all basically the same with the main difference being the smaller 6mm exhaust studs on the 900 engines which can be replaced with 8mm ones if required and despite what some wrongly claim the later mk2/st square cam cover also fits any of these heads but you must either use the matching MK2/ST top idler or ease back one of the horizontal casting webs in the square cover to clear an earlier idler..
